Run 2015 NHL Draft Simulator, keep Connor McDavid away from Oilers

It’s deep enough into the 2014-15 season where some NHL fans have given up all hope that their teams can make a playoff push; the point where fans actually get steamed when their moribund also-rans put together little winning streaks.

The odds for the teams appear to be updated daily, with the Buffalo Sabres guaranteed to have no less than the second pick overall since they’re a bigger tank than Will Ferrell in “Old School.”

We ran it once this morning, got the Edmonton Oilers as the winner of the Connor McDavid derby, sighed, looked wistfully at Taylor Halls’ playoff stats, sighed again, questioned the existence of the Hockey Gods, openly wept and then ate a batch of cookie dough.
