Reader Art Contest! Create an NHL starter kit (Puck Daddy)

There’s a meme winding its way through social media, and if you’re someone that recoils in disdain when you hear the word “meme,” hear us out.

It’s called “starter kits,” and they’re four images blended together that give you the basics for becoming something else. Wanna be a pirate? Eye-patch, pegleg, boat, parrot.

Wanna be a Buffalo Sabres fan? Well, see the image above. You'll need love for Dominik Hasek, hate of Brett Hull, the pain of the Buffaslug and the hope of the draft lottery.

Wanna be Brad Marchand of the Boston Bruins? See the image below:

Got it?

What we’re asking from you, dear readers, is for your own NHL starter kits for teams, coaches, players and everything else hockey related. (Oh, we’re sure a few Gary Bettman ones will come our way.) Four images, blended together to give the basics of anything in hockey.

Send yours to puckdaddyblog@yahoo.com with the subject line STARTER KITS. We’ll begin running galleries of entries later this week.

Prizes? Ya’ll want prizes?

We’ll give them out to the top five entries. We’ve got copies of Chris Chelios’s new book, and Clint Malarchuk’s new book, some hockey DVDs and some sweet T-shirts too.

So enter early, enter often and get our Create-A-Starter-Kit contest started!

(Keep in mind it’s a PG-13 site. Please remember, though, to bring the funny.)
