Five things to know about tonight's NHL games ...

1. Wild struggles. Minnesota has lost four straight, and it's gotten so bad that they were celebrating the loser point they got in a shootout loss to the Avalanche. "That's a huge point for us," Mike Yeo said. But two points would undoubtedly be preferable, and they're suddenly hard to come by for this group.

2. Talbot steals second. You know you're doing something right as a backup when you steal a start from Henrik Lundqvist. After a strong outing versus the Canucks, Cam Talbot starts his second straight versus the Jets.

3. Canadiens tough to beat. In more ways than one. Not only are the Habs 5-0-1 in their last six, but they haven't allowed more than two regulation goals in 10 games. That'll make things tough for the Devils, who haven't lost a regulation game in Montreal in half a decade.

4. Kings power outage. The Kings are 0 for their last 18 on the power play, which probably has something to do with their 1-1-3 record over their last five.

5. Rangers allergic to OT. Here's a weird tidbit: the Rangers have not had a single shootout this season. Very workmanlike, in the sense that nobody wants to stay late.

Bold Prediction: Rangers win in a shootout, just because I cursed the stat by pointing it out.
