Five things to know about tonight's NHL games ...

1) Marian Gaborik debuts in LA. There will be no easing Gaborik into the lineup versus the Jets. In practice, Darryl Sutter skated Gaborik on the Kings' top line with Anze Kopitar and Justin Williams.

2) A whole new Lightning team. The Lightning may have lost one of their most dynamic offensive weapons in Martin St. Louis, but they get the other one back, as Steven Stamkos returns to the lineup after missing most of the season with a leg injury. Ryan Callahan debuts as well. It's like watching a completely different Lighting team!

3) David Legwand plays, and not with Nashville. The weirdest sight tonight may be David Legwand skating around the ice in a Red Wings jersey. That's happening, after Legwand was acquired at yesterday's deadline and will suit up with a team not based in Tennessee for the first time ever.

4) Vanek in Montreal. So many debuts tonight! This should be an interested one, as Thomas Vanek, acquired from the New York Islanders in exchange for a compliment, makes his first appearance as a Hab.

5) Wild card battle in Dallas. The Canucks didn't blow things up as expected at yesterday's trade deadline, but if they lose tonight's game to Dallas, yielding a four-point swing in the wrong direction that could yield the end of their faint wild card hopes, the fans might.

Bold prediction: Canucks get shut out again, and people go ballistic.
