Puck Daddy’s 2014 NHL Free Agent Frenzy Live Blog, Hour 3

2:56 p.m. ET - The Martin Havlat signing in New Jersey reunited him with friend and fellow countryman Patrik Elias. "Hope he can be the player that he was and I believe I can help him do that," Elias said. The Czech guys really seem to stick together.

2:41 p.m. ET - Zach Redmond signs in Colorado for two years at $750k a season. It's their biggest signing of the day!

2:37 p.m. ET - It's been two and a half hours and $412 million has been handed out. Actually, make that $412.6 million, as Steve Bernier has re-signed with the Devils for $600k.

2:32 p.m. ET - Anton Stralman signed a five-year, $22.5 M deal to join the Tampa Bay Lightning. With Hedman, Stralman, Garrison and Carle, the Lightning have a pretty nice top-four now. It's a great deal, especially juxtaposed with that awful Orpik deal. For the same term, the Lightning got Stralman for $5M less.

2:27 p.m. ET - Jiri Tlusty has re-signed with the Carolina Hurricanes for one year at $2.95M.

2:24 p.m. ET - Jarome Iginla signs with the Colorado Avalanche. Let's see... aging star leaves Boston for Colorado? This has worked out before. Iginla will make $16M over the next three years in Colorado.

2:23 p.m. ET - And Dave Nonis comes through. The Leafs GM went to Finland to convince Leo Komarov to come back with him, and back to the Leafs, and he got it done, inking the firebrand to a four-year deal that will pay him $2.95M per season.

2:17 p.m. ET - The Penguins have added another goalie: Rob Zepp, out of Germany. He'll make $600,000 at the NHL level. Watch out Marc-Andre Fleury. You're about to get Zepped.

2:15 p.m. ET - Marcus Foligno has re-upped for two more years in Buffalo. He'll make $1.5M in year 1, and $2.25M in year two.

2:13 p.m. ET - Brooks Orpik still hasn't been bought out, but I'd keep an eye on that, because it should happen by the end of the day.

2:09 p.m. ET - Cody McCormick is also returning to Buffalo. Three years, $1.5 million a season for some reason.

2:05 p.m. ET - Matt Moulson apparently liked what he saw in Buffalo. or he likes the idea of being paid $5M a season over the next five years. Either way, the winger, who went to Buffalo in the Thomas Vanek trade and then to Minnesota at the deadline, is officially back in Buffalo.

2:04 p.m. ET - Martin Havlat has signed with the New Jersey Devils for one year, at $1.5M. That's a great little deal. Good value for an underrated player.

2:04 p.m. ET - Small signing: the Avalanche have signed Bruno Gervais to a one-year, two-way deal that will pay him $650k in the NHL and $225k in the AHL.

2:01 p.m. ET - A lot's happened in the first two hours of free agency, which is probably to be expected when the teams have a window to put out feelers ahead of time. But there's plenty more to come. Matt Niskanen and Jarome Iginla need new homes (or new contracts in their current homes), for instance. Will either challenge Brooks Orpik and Dave Bolland for worst contract of the day?
