1:49 p.m. ET - Tanner Glass's new contract with the New York Rangers will pay him $1.45M a year for the next three. That's a bad deal for a replacement-level player, but I played Scrabble with Tanner Glass once and he's nice, so good for him. Glass will slot in alongside Dominic Moore on the fourth line, as Moore has also recided to remain in New York at $1.5M over two.

1:48 p.m. ET - Stephane Robidas signs with the Leafs, who have been stocking up on right-side defensemen this offseason. It's a three-year, $9 million deal.

1:41 p.m. ET - The Thomas Vanek sweepstakes are over, and after all that, he signs, shockingly, stunningly, exactly where everyone thought he would sign. The winger is headed to Minnesota, to rejoin his buddy Jason Pominville for the next three years. He'll make $6.5 million per year. That's a reasonable signing for the Wild. It's probably too high, but it's not for too long, and according to Mike Russo, Vanek turned down more money and more term elsewhere.

1:37 p.m. ET - The Calgary Flames have upgraded at the goaltending position. signing Jonas Hiller, formerly of the Anaheim Ducks, for two years at $4.5 million a year. But what about Reto Berra, goalie of the future!? 

1:32 p.m. ET - The Maple Leafs have reacquired Matt Frattin, getting the winger from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for Jerry D'amigo. I guess they really missed him. Meanwhile, Keith Aulie, another former Leaf, signs a one-year, $800k deal with the Edmonton Oilers.

1:25 p.m. ET - The Winnipeg Jets have signed Mathieu Perreault, at 3 years, and $3M per year. Additionally, my pad thai is getting cold. Too many signings.

1:23 p.m. ET - The Panthers continue to make curious signings. Their latest: Shawn Thornton, who heads to Florida for two years at $1.2 million per season. Why are you paying Thornton over a million to do his job? And why would you guarantee a second year? No one knows but... the Tallon.

1:21 p.m. ET - The Capitals have signed Brooks Orpik away from the Pittsburgh Penguins for five years and $27.5 million. It's the same deal Dave Bolland got! Who deserves it less? Leave your answer in the comments section.

1:21 p.m. ET - Brian Gionta got a taste of success last year with the Montreal Canadiens, and he apparently hated it. He's off to Buffalo on a 3-year deal with a cap hit of $4.25 per year.

1:14 p.m. ET - Al Montoya is gone from Winnipeg, signing with the Florida Panthers for two years at a $1.05 million cap hit, over $400k more than he made for the Jets last season.

1:11 p.m. ET - The Pittsburgh Penguins have added Blake Comeau for one year at $700k, and backup goaltender Thomas Greiss for the same term, at $1M. What are the odds Greiss starts a playoff game for the Penguins? I'm saying quite high.

1:08 p.m. ET - As expected, Ryan Miller goes to the Canucks for three years, at a whopping $18 million. It's an overpayment, but the Canucks have the capspace to stomach it without hamstringing their team, and they definitely needed an upgrade on the Eddie Lack/Jacob Markstrom pairing. Imagine if they still had Cory Schneider. Thanks, Mike Gillis.

1:05 p.m. ET - The Dallas Stars have signed Ales Hemsky, as Jim Nill continues to get very good players surprisingly easily. Hemsky and Spezza on the same day? The Stars just got a whole lot better. Hemsky will make $4 million for the next 3 years, which is a very reasonable deal for the skilful winger.
