Pass or Fail: Mississippi RiverKings pay tribute to Elvis Presley’s birthday with ‘Aloha Elvis” jerseys (PHOTO)

Happy birthday to The King! No, not Henrik Lundqvist; we're talking about the original King, Elvis Presley. Today would have been Presley's 78th birthday and Graceland is opening an exhibit that is dedicated to the King's love of the Hawaiian islands.

Speaking of Elvis and Hawaii, the SPHL's Mississippi RiverKings have a connection to the musical legend. The franchise originated in Memphis, Tenn., and to honor Presley, the RiverKings have held an "Elvis Presley Night" for the last few years, wearing a King-themed jersey. Tuesday will be no different when they take on the Louisiana IceGators wearing these "Aloha Elvis" jerseys:

Our models for today are Patrick Gaul and Matt Whitehead. (Nice flow, boys.)

The RiverKings have a license from the Presley estate to use Elvis' image and music in-game. It's allowed them to have fans participate in various trivia contests and activities every year on Elvis' birthday and for some very interesting-looking Presley-themed jerseys in the past.

The Elvis collection goes very nicely with their gun-toting turtle jerseys of yore, which were in conjunction with the National Wild Turkey Federation.

We can't wait to see what's next.
