Boyle scored the go-ahead goal into a gaping net in the third period, as the Sharks took Game 1 from the Vancouver Canucks, 3-1. He previously assisted on Logan Couture’s power-play goal to tie the game.

No. 2 Star: David Krejci, Boston Bruins

The Bruins center had a goal and two helpers in their 4-1 domination of the Toronto Maple Leafs, to take Game 1 of their quarterfinal series. His second-period goal, on an assist from Milan Lucic, gave Boston a two-goal advantage.

No. 3 Star: Pascal Dupuis, Pittsburgh Penguins

No Sidney Crosby, no problem: Dupuis tallied twice as the Pittsburgh Penguins routed the New York Islanders in Game 1, 5-0.
