The Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup after Bolland's goal with 59 seconds to go in regulation snapped a 2-2 tie. The winning tally came 17 seconds after Bryan Bickell tied the game.

Chicago's captain showed no ill effects of whatever injury was bothering him in Game 5 by scoring the Blackhawks' opening tally and later assisting Bickell's tying goal late in the third period.
