NHL Three Stars: Bob beats Maple Leafs; Ruff earns 600th NHL win

No. 1 Star: Sergei Bobrovsky, Columbus Blue Jackets

Columbus snapped the Toronto Maple Leafs' seven-game home winning streak with a 2-1 victory Monday night. After two first period goals built up a 2-0 lead, Bobrovsky did the rest making 28 saves in total for the Blue Jackets. The win completed a three-game sweep of the season series with Toronto.

No. 2 Star: Mikael Granlund, Minnesota Wild

Facing off against brother Markus for the first time in their NHL careers, Mikael Granlund helped set up Minnesota's two third period goals as they beat the Calgary Flames 3-2. He now has four points in his last three games and 12 in his last 10. The win gives the Wild five straight victories, a season high.

No. 3 Star: Alex Chiasson, Dallas Stars

Chiasson's power play goal midway through the third period snapped a 2-2 tie and helped earn head coach Lindy Ruff his 600th career win as the Stars downed the Buffalo Sabres 3-2. Chiasson's goal was his first in 13 games. Also breaking a drought was Alex Goligoski, who put home a late second period tally for his first in 48 games.

Honorable mention: Darcy Kuemper made 21 saves in his 15th start in a row for the Wild ... Minnesota is now 22-7-2 at home this season ... Wild captain Mikko Koivu returned after missing 17 games. He played 19:21 ... Jeff Carter's power play goal early in the second period was the 250th of his career and also the difference as the Los Angeles Kings edged the Montreal Canadiens 2-1. LA won their fifth straight game and earned their first win at Staples Center over the Canadiens since March 2003. Anze Kopitar recorded an assist in beautiful fashion on Carter's goal:

Did you know? The Maple Leafs's seven straight wins at home was their best stretch since a nine-game run in the 2006-07 season. (AP)

Dishonorable mention: Blue Jackets defenseman Ryan Murray left the game in the first period with a lower-body injury and did not return ... Toronto won only 41-percent of their draws ... David Jones fell into the boards and left the game. Flames head coach Bob Hartley said it "doesn't look very good."
