NHL Three Stars: Bob blanks Isles; Fleury denies Avs in shootout

No. 1 Star: Sergei Bobrovsky, Columbus Blue Jackets

Power play goals from Boone Jenner, Jack Johnson and Ryan Murray, and 31 stops from Bobrovsky helped the Blue Jackets blank the New York Islanders 4-0. The shutout was the ninth of Bob's career and fifth of the season, a career high. His last two wins have now come via the shutout.

No. 2 Star: Marc-Andre Fleury, Pittsburgh Penguins

Without a number of their star players, including Sidney Crosby, James Neal and Evgeni Malkin, the Penguins held off the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 after a shootout. Fleury made 39 saves in regulation and overtime and didn't allow a goal in the shootout for his fourth win in five starts. Brandon Sutter scored both Pittsburgh goals 3:22 apart in the second period.

No. 3 Star: Taylor Hall, Edmonton Oilers

Three second period goals helped pace the Oilers past the Anaheim Ducks 4-2. Hall scored a goal and assisted on another in that second period, then added a helper on Jordan Eberle's empty-netter to seal the victory. Eberle and Justin Schultz recorded two points and Viktor Fasth made 34 saves against his old team.

Honorable mention: Sean Bergenheim's goal with 4:31 left in the third period snapped a 2-2 tie and helped the Florida Panthers overcome a 2-0 deficit for a 3-2 win over the Dallas Stars. Roberto Luongo made 35 saves and Brandon Piiri added a goal and an assist as the Panthers snapped a five-game losing streak ... Jamie Benn had a nice individual effort in a losing cause for the Stars:

Brayden Schenn scored twice, Vincent Lecavalier and Matt Read added two points and Mark Streit recorded three assists as the Flyers downed the Buffalo Sabres 5-2. The win snapped Philadelphia's four-game losing streak ... A bad weekend got even worse for the St. Louis Blues as the Chicago Blackhawks beat them 4-2 for their second loss in as many days. Jeremy Morin led the charge for Chicago scoring his third of the year to tie the game in the second period and later adding an assist on Patrick Sharp's 33rd of the season:

Did you know? Roberto Luongo is back on Twitter:

Dishonorable mention: Zac Rinaldo earned a match penalty for a silly head hit on Chad Ruhwedel ... Buffalo has lost six straight on the road and, according to the AP, are 2-13-1 in their last 16 games ... The Avalanche failed to capitalized on five power plays, including one late in overtime.
