NHL Three Stars: Red Wings, Blues pitch shutouts; bloody Flyers fight

No. 1 Star:  Petr Mrazek, Detroit Red Wings 

Mrazek made 28 saves to protect a 1-0 lead until Darren Helm and Luke Glendening added empty netters as the Red Wings defeated the Colorado Avalanche, 3-0.

No. 2 Star: Jakob Silfverberg, Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks forward opened the scoring with a short-handed goal and added a back-breaker in the second period as the Anaheim Ducks topped the Nashville Predators, 5-2, moving into first place in the NHL. Frederick Andersen made 44 saves.

No. 3 Star: Jake Allen, St. Louis Blues

The rookie goalie made 23 saves, as the Blues shut out the Buffalo Sabres, 3-0. Vladamir Taresenko scored his 27th goal.
