NHL Three Stars: Panthers win again; Crawford blanks Senators

No. 1 Stars: Al Montoya / Jaromir Jagr, Florida Panthers

The Panthers won their ninth straight game and seventh consecutive at home with a 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild. In his first start since Dec. 17, Montoya stopped 39 shots for his fourth straight win. Jagr scored 27 seconds into the game and again in the third period to snap a 1-1 tie. He now has 735 goals, six behind Brett Hull for third all-time.

No. 2 Star: Corey Crawford, Chicago Blackhawks

Making his 300th NHL appearance, Crawford recorded his fourth shutout in 10 games, sixth of the season and 18th of his career as Chicago blanked the Ottawa Senators 3-0. Duncan Keith, Artem Anisimov and Andrew Desjardins scored for the Blackhawks. Crawford now leads all goaltenders in shutouts.

No. 3 Star: Kyle Okposo, New York Islanders

After building up a 5-2 lead in the second period, the Islanders held on for a 6-5 win over the Dallas Stars. Okposo scored twice and assisted on another as New York won for the fourth time in six games. Cal Clutterbuck put home two of his own, including a shorthanded tally.

Honorable Mention: Per the AP, the Islanders are now 12-4-1 against the Western Conference … Willie Mitchell suited up for his 900th NHL game … Desjardins has four goals in his last three games for the Blackhawks … Kevin Bieksa recorded his first multi-point game since Jan. 16, 2015 and John Gibson made 19 saves as the Anaheim Ducks rolled past the Winnipeg Jets 4-1. Anaheim's power play cashed in on both of their opportunities. Corey Perry tallied his 14th of the year after finding a unique way to create some space:

Dishonorable Mention: Dallas has lost consecutive games for the first time this season … Jason Demers was ejected in the second period after boarding Clutterbuck … Ottawa has now dropped five of six.
