NHL Three Stars: Andersen shuts-out Flames; Stamkos finally scores

No. 1 Star: Frederick Andersen, Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks netminder made all 30 saves in the first post-season shutout of his career. Andersen wasn't terribly busy in the first period as his teammates put up 20 shots, but they took their foot off the gas in the final two frames. Luckily, the goalie's solid play gave the Ducks a 3-0 win.

No. 2 Star: Steven Stamkos, Tampa Bay Lightning

It took until the ninth game of the playoffs to get a goal of his own, but Stamkos finally did in Tampa's 6-2 pummeling of Montreal. In addition to his goal, he had 2 points on the power play. The series now shifts back to Tampa with the LIghtning leading 2-0.

No. 3 Star: Patrick Kane, Chicago Blackhawks

Just another 2 goal night for Patrick Kane. Kane's goal in the second period stood as the game winner in the Blackhawks 4-1 victory.

Honorable Mention: Kari Ramo did everything he could to keep Calgary in the game, making 32 saves in the loss. Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf continued their domination of the Flames with two-points each. Perry's set up on the game-winner by Hampus Lindholm kept him atop the league in playoff points:

... Tampa Bay was 4-for-8 on the power play. Valtteri Filppula scored a goal and 2 assists for Tampa. PK Subban played 28:50; the next closest Canadien in ice time was Alexei Emelin at 21:30 ... Matt Dumba scored on the power play for Minnesota. Duncan Keith was a plus-4 and played 30:12. Jonathan Toews started the scoring for Chicago with a shorthanded goal:

Did You Know? Patrick Kane has 101 points in 101 playoff games.

Dishonorable Mention: Calgary's TJ Brodie was credited with 5 giveaways ... Brandon Prust is probably going to get fined for criticizing an official and throwing his elbow pad into the Lightning bench. Carey Price gave up 6 goals on 24 shots ... Corey Crawford took a slapshot to the head. Despite being visually wobbly, he didn't leave the game or receive any sort of concussion test. He simply changed masks.
