NHL Power Rankings: Montreal still reigns, Blues vs. Stars

Remember when Carey Price went down and we were all like “uh oh” and yet the Montreal Canadiens still have the best goal differential in the NHL at plus-29 after 17 games of the season?

The Montreal Canadiens once again lead our NHL power rankings this week, as they remain the cream of the Eastern Conference crop. As for the West, two Central Division teams are neck-and-neck in the latest ranking.

As for the bottom of the ranking … well, as if John Tortorella needed more reasons to be angry

Every other week, Yahoo Sports will be bringing you NHL power rankings as voted on by the Y! Sports staff and Puck Daddy editors. Please keep in mind these rankings were created prior to Tuesday night’s games.

Feel free to provide your own rankings in the comments section. See you in two weeks!
