If there’s one takeaway from the Boston Bruins’ season, it’s that we simply can’t get enough of Liam Fitzgerald.

Remember the adorable kid who gave pounds to the Bruins in November? He now has his own trading card, which was unveiled before last Thursday’s Bruins game. (s/t Next Impulse Sports)

Check out the video:

Fitzgerald has Down syndrome and was also diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at age 4. But he beat cancer, and has been an inspiration to the Bruins ever since. And he loves the team. He was Adam McQuaid for Halloween in 2013.

Per an above linked Boston.com story, he has met Milan LucicPatrice BergeronBrad Marchand along with other former Bruins.

And now he will be immortalized forever with his own card. It’s hard not to become emotional when watching Fitzgerald and the way the Bruins and their fans have embraced him this year. Major props to those who made this idea possible. It is indeed a truly touching gesture.
