LA Kings remain undefeated when Slash performs the national anthem (Video)

NHL

Sure, the Los Angeles Kings powered by Jeff Carter, Tyler Toffoli and Tanner Pearson helped them get by the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 3 Saturday night, but their good fortune began before the puck even dropped when former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash performed "The Star-Spangled Banner":

Regular anthem singer Pia Toscano had to back out due to the wedding of a friend as the Kings took a 2-1 series lead with a 4-3 win. Maybe next time they need a big victory, they should give Slash another call?

As Rich Hammond pointed out, LA is now 2-0 all-time when the rock legend performs the national anthem before a game. The first time he did was so all the way back on Oct. 12, 2010 at their home opener against the Atlanta Thrashers. Slash shredded on the guitar and then the Kings shredded the now-Winnipeg Jets 3-1.

After going undefeated in the playoffs at United Center up until Game 2 against the Kings, if the Blackhawks want some anthem luck of their own, do they need to counter Slash with Billy Corgan or Buddy Guy?
