Karri Ramo makes incredible save vs. Sedin Twins (Video)

The Calgary Flames eliminated the Vancouver Canucks in the Stanley Cup Playoffs last season in six games, with goalie Karri Ramo getting the win in relief of Jonas Hiller.

Ramo got the opening night start for the Flames against the Canucks, and midway through the first period on Wednesday night he got the better of the Sedin Twins with a spectacular save.

Henrik Sedin skated in on a two-on-one after a Flames turnover, his brother rocketing down the wing. He floated a pass to Daniel Sedin’s stick, and it looked like another bit of twin magic from the Sedins.

Instead, Ramo executed a spinning windmill save with his blocker, knocking the puck over the glass as the Sedins were stunned.

Alas, Ramo would give up two goals to the Canucks in the first period. But that save sure was something. Save of the year candidate, for sure. You know, one game into the season.
