Kari Lehtonen’s save of the year candidate is miraculously ‘swervy’ (VIDEO)

Kari Lehtonen’s Dallas Stars dropped a game at the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday night, but one moment in the second period might live on far after the final score fades from memory.

Check out this preposterous save on Jack Johnson, in which Lehtonen has the puck go off his glove and then miraculously lunges back to stop it from crossing the line.

From the Blue Jackets to the announcing booth, everyone thought that was in … save for Kari Lehtonen (literally).

Mike Heika called it one of the goalie’s “greatest saves ever,” and it’s hard to argue with that – even though Lehtonen’s engaged in his share of grand larceny.
