Jimmy Howard dentures (used) can be yours on eBay, Detroit Red Wings fans

eBayAs I mentioned on Marek Vs. Wyshynski, I've navigated through eBay on occasion looking for a specific, grotesque item: hockey player teeth. Their existence as an auction item fascinates me, as would the suggested retail price of an abandoned Chiclet.

Alas, my searches have yielded zero results. But Kevin Schultz of Barry Melrose Rocks found the next best thing: The unofficial Jimmy Howard dentures.

What the what?!

We now present the description of this item, unedited:

"This is definatly a unique auction, you are bidding on a used denture with Jimmy howard embeded in the palate of the denture,iv never seen anything like this,no idea of its history or its worth.if anything it is a very rare pice for any collection,iv done a little checking and to have a denture made without a hockey player in the palate (lol)is between $1200-$1500, if anything its a great conversation pice to any collector,i have no idea who wore it,or why they would put his picture in the palate,if anyone knows anything about the history of this plzz msg me as i would be quite interested. The picture is not just stuck on the denture, its actually embeded inside the plastic, like i said never seen anything like it,plzz bid with confidence.I always send a bonus item if pmt is made within 1 hour of auction ending, this will be a random memorabilia or auto card with a value  between $10-$100. Thx"

So, in summary: These aren't Jimmy Howard's dentures, but rather used dentures with the Detroit Red Wings goalie's visage "embedded inside the plastic." And while a new denture without an NHL goalie's photo can retail upwards of $1,500, the starting bid for this "very rare pice (sic)" is $50 CAD.

It's actually an appropriate keepsake for the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs, given how toothless the Red Wings were in front of Howard. Now, if you'll excuse us, we're going to find out how much this dental crown with Corey Crawford's face on it is worth …
