Inside Nicklas Lidstrom’s $2.9 million Michigan home, which has been sold (PHOTOS)

Detroit Red Wings legend Nicklas Lidstrom retired in May after 20 NHL seasons, and is now a European scout for the team. Thus, he had no more use for his $2.9 million home in Novi, Mich., which was built in 2004.

According to Patch.com's Rebecca Jaskot, the Lidstroms' home recently sold for under that value after 21 days on the market, to an anonymous buyer who paid cash. Via Realtor John Goodman and AOL Real Estate, take a peek at where the NHL's best defenseman spent his down time:

It has five bedrooms with five full bathrooms and three half-bathrooms. The house has a four-car attached garage, tennis court and wine cellar.
