Habs ship Huet to Caps for pick

In a move that will impact goaltending for two teams, the Montreal Canadiens have decided the time is now for 20-year-old rookie Carey Price. Hey, it worked for Patrick Roy in 1986. The 6-foot-3, 226-pound native of Vancouver, B.C., is 12-9-3 with a 2.83 goals-against average and .909 save percentage in 26 appearances.

The Canadiens, right in the thick of the Eastern Conference mix, have Jaroslav Halak as their back-up now unless they pull of something before the deadline. Cristobal Huet, 32, considered a back-up previously until rolling up a 21-12-6 mark, a 2.56 GAA and .916 save percentage with the Canadiens this season, goes to a Washington Capitals team that has an aging No. 1 – 37-year-old Olaf Kolzig.
