Grand Rapids Griffins perform fly rendition of 'Fresh Prince' theme song (Video)

The AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins celebrated “90’s Night” with a 3-1 win over the Chicago Wolves on Friday.

The minor league affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings also celebrated the evening of throwbacks with an ode to the ‘90s hit TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, featuring Eric Tangradi (slow down, bud), Colin Campbell (no, not that one), Zach Nastasiuk, Mitch Callahan, Andreas Athanasiou (nice rhythm, kid) and play-by-play man Bob Kaser performing the theme song.

In a great coincidence, Wolves netminder Jordan Binnington backed up during the game. He would have certainly appreciated the Fresh Prince tribute seeing as how he rocked this awesome Will Smith lid a couple of years ago and loved the show so much he felt he’d be best friends with the main star.

Sadly, no Griffins or Wolves players were thrown out of the game, robbing the crowd of a Jazzy Jeff/Uncle Phil tribute.
