First Look: Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup DVD clip, featuring Andrew Shaw's headed no-goal

One month ago Wednesday the Chicago Blackhawks won their third Stanley Cup title since 2010, igniting the “dynasty” debate and capping off another memorable season in the Windy City.

Above is the cover from this year’s championship DVD, via Cinedigm, the NHL and NHL Studios featuring Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Marian Hossa and Corey Crawford.

From the NHL:

The film will feature extensive highlights from both the regular season and the magical playoff run, behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with coach Joel Quenneville, the 11th head coach in NHL history to win three Stanley Cup Championships; captain Jonathan Toews; Conn Smythe winner Duncan Keith who capped his postseason performance with the Stanley Cup-clinching goal in Game 6, becoming the first player to win the Conn Smythe Trophy and record the Stanley Cup-clinching goal; and superstars Patrick Kane, Corey Crawford, and Kimmo Timonen, who after 1,213 career games played in his final NHL game, capturing the Stanley Cup for the first time. Stanley Cup® Champions 2015: Chicago Blackhawks® will be available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital. Blu-Ray bonus features are highlighted by the never before released 2013 Stanley Cup Film, from the Blackhawks’ victory two years ago.

Here’s an exclusive clip, featuring the aftermath of Andrew Shaw’s wacky headed no-goal:

I get kicked goals still being disallowed for safety reasons, but maybe some day we’ll be able to see NHL players regularly try and mimic Miroslav Klose on the ice. Worthy effort and some quick creative thinking by Shaw. Too bad it didn’t count.

The Blackhawks film will be available on Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital July 28.
