Finland celebrated a hockey championship like only Finland could: in freezing temperatures with a lot of alcohol and some bare butts.

Kasperi Kapanen’s overtime goal against Russia on Tuesday secured Finland’s fourth gold medal at the World Junior Championship, which was based in Helsinki this year. As soon as the Toronto Maple Leafs prospect finished off what was a beautiful goal, the celebrations began.

As the U-20 players celebrated inside Hartwall Arena, some fans went to the Havis Amanda statue, which resides in a fountain. Two brave souls decided to get a little wild and stripped down and show off their Kari Takkos.

The word “brave” gets thrown around a lot, but going nude when it’s below zero out to celebrate your country winning a hockey tournament is certainly that. And also, awesome. As we wrote after the Finns won the 2011 World Championships, "Ain’t no party like a Finland fan party because they’re naked."

The young Finns celebrated through the night and apparently took a break for some milkshakes and Whoppers at a nearby Burger King

The party moved on to an area near Helsinki Olympic Stadium where fans gathered to honor the champions.

Hopefully, once the celebrations end, we don’t learn that they ended up breaking the trophy, seeing as how there’s already been one close call.

Now that we have a strong knowledge of how the Finns celebrate hockey titles, we can’t help but want to root for them in every competition going forward.
