Evgeni Malkin involved in morning skate fight with Craig Adams
So there was apparently a fight at Pittsburgh morning skate before the Penguins game against Tampa? And then there was a trade, so all attention was diverted from Evgeni Malkin and Craig Adams throwing ... wait, what? Evgeni Malkin got into a fight with a teammate.
Yes, it is apparently true.
From the Twitter handle of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review's Josh Yohe:
Malkin and Adams were in "a battle drill." Things got heated. Punches thrown. Johnston wasn't on the ice. Doesn't seem horrible concerned.

To Craig Adams ... What. Are. You. Doing? You don't fight with arguably your team's most skilled player, a former MVP, and yeah, list other superlatives to describe Malkin. Follow the peaceful teachings of Gandhi. Discuss your problems, hash them out -- especially when the other dude is making $9.5 million per-year according to CapGeek.
And if all else fails, freaking turtle. Do you want to be known as the teammate who injured Evgeni Malkin in a fight?
We know, tempers flare in hockey in practices. It's a contact sport, players are intense. But when a fight involves a star player, you have to take more notice especially when the other player is making $700,000 per-year.
