Conn Smythe Watch: Jonathan Quick has this thing locked up, right?

The morning after each Stanley Cup Final game, Puck Daddy will break down the field for the 2012 Conn Smythe Trophy for playoff MVP.

1. Jon Quick, Los Angeles Kings

Game, set, match? Barring a complete implosion from Quick on a Marc-Andre Fleury vs. the Flyers level — and, in turn, a miraculous rally from the Devils — Quick should waltz away with the Conn. He has a 1.36 GAA and a .950 save percentage, to go along with three shutouts. He's 15-2 overall. Quick would become the fifth goalie since 2001 to win MVP.

2. Anze Kopitar, Los Angeles Kings

The Kings star moved into a tie with Ilya Kovalchuk for the playoff lead in points (18) with his goal and assist in Game 3. If he wins the scoring race, he might garner some Conn Smythe support as the leader of the playoffs' best line with Justin Williams and Dustin Brown.

3. Drew Doughty, Los Angeles Kings

An absolute rock for the Kings' blue line, thwarting the Devils' forecheck all series and moving up to 13 points for the playoffs with a Game 3 assist. Doughty is a plus-13 for the playoffs, averaging 26:10 TOI. He also scored an OK goal in Game 2. Sub-par at best.

4. Dustin Brown, Los Angeles Kings

Brown's assist in Game 3 increased his point total to 17 and his plus/minus to plus-15. He's gone seven games without a goal, but has been a vital player for the Kings throughout the playoffs.

5. Ilya Kovalchuk, New Jersey Devils

Clearly battling through an injury, Kovalchuk is scoreless in the Stanley Cup Final but is still tied with Kopitar with 18 points at the top of the offensive leaderboard.

6. Martin Brodeur, New Jersey Devils

Brodeur yielded four goals in Game 3, but he's been otherwise the backbone of this Devils' playoff run with a 2.09 GAA and a .919 save percentage.

7. Jeff Carter, Los Angeles Kings

Carter's Game 3 goal was his sixth of the playoffs and second of the series. He has four points in his last four games.

8. Mike Richards, Los Angeles Kings

The Kings center had a helper on Carter's tally and 12 points for the playoffs.

9. Adam Henrique, New Jersey Devils

The Devils rookie doesn't have a point in the Cup Final, but still has two series-clinching goals to his credit. Along with a killer goatee.

10. Zach Parise, New Jersey Devils

The Devils captain has been humbled by Quick in the Cup Final, going scoreless, but still has 14 points for the playoffs. But he's a minus-5 in his last four games.
