Calgary Flames’ ugly Christmas sweater ad is ho-ho-horrible (Video)

The holiday season has become a time for NHL teams to force their players into awkward-squirmy holiday videos that are equal parts kitsch and abomination.

Admittedly, some teams have pulled off a couple of classics, like this Boston Bruins Christmas spoof and basically everything the San Jose Sharks have ever committed to film.

Then we have the 2015-16 Calgary Flames, creating a retro sitcom informercial for their line of ugly Christmas sweaters.

And here we thought Scorch would be the biggest disaster for the Flames this year …

Look, Sam Bennett, Dougie Hamilton, Markus Granlund and Brandon Bollig were game. It looks like they had fun. And there’s a dog. Dogs are the best.

But holy smokes that was some sub-porno shoot acting right there.

However, the Flames TOTALLY REDEEMED THEMSELVES by following in the tradition of dozens of bad movies and publishing bloopers and outtakes!

We are total suckers for bloopers and outtakes. Thank you for this very merry Christmas present, Calgary!
