Buy MSG rink where NY Rangers won 1994 Stanley Cup, starting at $50K

Attention, New York Rangers fans: How big is your house or apartment?

Because the Madison Square Garden rink where the Rangers won the 1994 Stanley Cup after a 54-year drought is going up for auction.

Yes, that’s the entire rink.

Well, minus the ice.

Starting Monday, Goldin Auctions is putting up the rink the Rangers used at MSG from 1991-2013 on sale with an opening bid of $50,000.

From the auction:

This isn't a mere stick, puck or jersey - this is the whole rink! It comes with a complete set of dasher boards, complete set of Plexi Glass with spare glass, complete set of 2" thick steel ice dams, hockey benches, set of hockey goals and nets and even storage carts.

This lot is so complete it comes with the 1991 purchase agreement from when the items were sold to Madison Square Garden, the original schematic drawings from the manufacturer that puts it all together and the purchase agreement when the rink was sold by MSG in 2013.

There are even signatures from the 1994 Rangers on parts of the dasher boards and both goals, including Mark Messier, Brian Leetch, Mike Ritcher and some guy named Stephan Matteau you may have heard of once or three times.

So there you go: You can buy the entire rink where the Rangers won the Stanley Cup and, later, where legends such as Darius Kasparaitis, Bobby Holik and Wade Redden earned their keep.

Surely there has to be someone in Westchester County with a large enough backyard to completely recreate the 1994 rink in a hockey “Field of Dreams.”

(“I don’t know how to say this to you honey, but JEFF BEUKEBOOM just walked out of our cornfield …”)

Bid with confidence here starting on Monday.
