Blues to stick with Brian Elliott for Game 7 vs. Stars
Two days after he said he’d choose his Game 7 goaltender after sleeping on it, Ken Hitchcock will go back to Brian Elliott Wednesday night, a decision he called a “no-brainer.”
“I wanted to talk to Brian,” Hitchcock said via the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “Brian showed up at the rink yesterday to stop pucks, which surprised everybody. He wanted to go on the ice. I think he earned the right to go at it. He had a tough start to the game like our team. He had the tough seven minutes and paid for it."

Elliott was pulled from Game 6 after allowing three goals in the opening 17 minutes. Outside of that rough first period, he’s provided outstanding goaltending to the Blues this postseason, posting a .939 EV save percentage in 13 starts.
And like the situation in the crease for the Pittsburgh Penguins with Matt Murray and Marc-Andre Fleury, you go with the goalie who got you here, and that’s Elliott. Allen’s appearance in Game 6 was his first time in the Blues’ net since April 3.
We're now left to wonder what this guy thinks.
