Blues organist trolls Blackhawks with ‘Chelsea Dagger’ after Game 7 (Video)

The St. Louis Blues defeated the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 7 on Monday night, 3-2, finally overcoming their tormentors in dramatic fashion with a third-period goal.

Then their organist decided to pour a little salt in those fresh wounds for the Blackhawks.

Yes, those are the dulcet tones of The Fratellis’ “Chelsea Dagger” being heard during the handshake line – the gloriously obnoxious goal song that’s blared throughout the Blackhawks’ championship dynasty.

As Bill Wilson notes: It was in minor key.

Now, you might call this unsportsmanlike taunting by an opponent that blew a 3-1 series lead and was fortunate to escape the first round against a stellar opponent and fierce rival.

But then you’d be a naysayer. And in the immortal words of Blues coach Ken Hitchcock on Monday night:

"The naysayers can all take a day off. We can celebrate for a day, and then you all can start bashing us again."
