Behold the awesome NHL Lego-like figures from OYO

Here’s the scene: You’ve spent two hours constructing your Lego Millennium Falcon playset, and you’re ready for incredible space adventures. But wait … there’s a disturbance in the Force! Something’s missing!

If only you could enhance the adventures of Han and Chewie with … Toews and Kane.

Finally, the NHL is in Lego … er, uh, “building brick mini-figure” form. OYO, which has the official licenses for several other sports, has debuted an Original Six line of figures for the Chicago Blackhawks, Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit Red Wings and New York Rangers.

As you can see, no expense was spared in creating the likenesses of these players, which we imagine took several hundred man-hours and advanced tech laser scanners and a few NASA supercomputers. How else would they make Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane both look like astonished 12 year olds?

Ah, but there are variations. Check out Henrik Zetterberg here, along with all the cool gear options you get with each figure:

But wait ... there's more!

Pavel Datsyuk's evil twin, Davel Patsyuk.

Rick Nash. This is actually pretty darn accurate. Not the face, we mean the block-of-cheddar body.

P.K. Subban, smiling about his next contract.

Phil Kessel, who looks like blogger Andrew Sullivan. But we all know the biggest issue here: Shoulda been a Weeble.

Finally, 'old gray beard himself, Jarome Iginla.

OYO's NHL figures retail for $12.99. Trade them, collect them all! (They also work with Legos, so you can finally have that "Batman captures Brad Marchand" adventure you always wanted.)

Soon friends ... soon it will be time for US to recreate embarrassing moments like the Butt-fumble!

s/t Days of Y'Orr for the find.
