Another Karri Ramo lowlight from the KHL (VIDEO)

The Gagarin Cup Finals are ongoing over in the Kontinental Hockey League, as Avangard and Dynamo battle for the only hockey championship named after a cosmonaut. Avangard took Game 1 of the series, 2-1, thanks in part to 22 saves by netminder Karri Ramo.

But the one that got away … ouch.

That's Leo Komarov, taken No. 180 overall in the 2006 NHL Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs, banking one off the backside of Ramo and into the net, taking the shot well below the goal line.

We hesitate to call it a "gaffe" because it was a crafty little play by Komarov to take advantage of a goalie whose thoughts were not on defending the shooter. Plus, we've seen Ramo gaffes in the KHL before, and this just doesn't rank with a rink-length goal allowed or what still might be the worst own-goal of 2012.

Please recall Karri Ramo is property of the Calgary Flames, having been shipped there in the Michael Cammalleri trade from Montreal.
