Adam Burish reunites with college bud Joe Pavelski, signs 4-year deal with Sharks

San Jose Sharks center Joe Pavelski and Adam Burish were teammates and roommates at the University of Wisconsin for two years, living off campus.

"He's got more on me than I have on him, but I have a few little aces in my pocket that I'll bring out on him," said Burish back in 2010.

The Badgers are skating on the same side again. San Jose signed Burish, a free agent from the Dallas Stars, to a four-year deal worth $7.2 million and a $1.8 million cap hit.

It's a slight raise from his $1.3 million last season with Dallas, where he had 19 points in 65 games with 69 PIMs.

Torrey Mitchell left the Sharks' bottom six forwards for Minnesota on Sunday, earning $1.9 million annually over three years.

Burish is a winner and plays with an edge sorely lacking from the Sharks in crunch time. Four years is quite a term — he's actually the only San Jose forward currently signed beyond 2015 — but the money is right as is the pedigree.

And let's face it: Any player that will toss an opponent's glove into the seats and offers a video game apology will fit right in with a team whose MVP is a creepy puppet.
