Will Gronk's Party Ship set sail again? It doesn't sound like it

So the Gronk Party Ship's maiden voyage might have been its final one as well. Might be time to change your 2017 spring-break plans, party people.

We've now heard from two Gronk brothers — Rob Gronkowski, the Party Ship captain, and little brother Glenn — who have hinted that the 2016 event might have been a one-and-done. If you set sail on the anything-goes cruise, you might be part of a very strange trivia question.

"I heard it [was] absolutely crazy," Buffalo Bills rookie tight end Glenn Gronkowski told WCMF radio on Wednesday, via ESPN.com. But it might have been too crazy to do another one, they said."

Glenn, sadly, said he missed the event. And if you did, too, you might be out of luck, as it's starting to sound like "Gronk 2: Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water" (our working title for the event) might not ever set sail. Pour out a little Red Bull and vodka for this sad news ...

But might this thing be canceled because it was "too crazy?" Or perhaps because it was too sparsely populated?

ESPN's Sarah Spain wrote about the event and mentioned that 750 people attended, but that number likely fell well short of expectations for tickets sold. Perhaps it wasn't priced or marketed properly, but the cruise ship had to open up sales to non-Gronk folks and that it likely was a loss for both parties. Her final line in the piece — "Where do I sign up for next year?" — just makes us a wee bit sad now.

So we don't know the exact reason — too wild! not that many people went! — but the Gronk cruise might have to live on in infamy as a singular event in the annals of shirtless hedonism, given what Glenn and Rob have said about its future. Even though Rob previously called it the "most turnt up event ever," which, now hearing that, we're sorry we missed it.
