Watch Patriots crowd sing 'Happy Birthday' to ice bucket challenge creator

New England Patriots fans gave Pete Frates a memorable birthday gift on Sunday.

Frates is a former Boston College baseball player. You probably know him from being the creator of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge that was an Internet sensation this past summer. Frates was diagnosed with ALS in 2012.

Sunday was Frates' 30th birthday and he spent it at the Patriots game. The home crowd belted out "Happy Birthday" to Frates during a break in the third quarter of the Patriots' game against the Buffalo Bills. During a mostly forgettable 17-9 loss to the Bills, that's a moment that will endure for a long time.
