Seahawks GM John Schneider has 'no idea' what Marshawn Lynch's plans are

Seattle Seahawks GM John Schneider is like the rest of us. He, like many, has no clue what Marshawn Lynch's plans are for the coming season.

Asked about Lynch and reports he could retire, Schneider said he and the team are in a sort of cooling-off period after the Super Bowl disappointment.

"Everyone needs some time away," Schneider said, "a little time for reset."

That said, time's a-wasting on the start of the league year, and Schneider said he has reached out to Lynch's people and hopes to have an answer on the running back's future "soon."

Lynch rushed for 1,306 yards, with 13 rushing touchdowns (17 total scores) and totaled 367 yards receiving last season. He's owed a base salary of $5 million in 2015.

"I’ve talked to his people a bunch," Schneider said. "He knows we want him to play."
