Robert Mathis, Rashean Mathis headline inactive lists for Colts, Jaguars

Thursday night's Indianapolis Colts-Jacksonville Jaguars will be short some star power as running back Maurice Jones-Drew will miss a third straight game with a foot injury. Rashad Jennings will get the start for Jones-Drew, with Jalen Parmele backing him up. The Jaguars are also without fullback Greg Jones (hip) for a second straight game and safety Dwight Lowery will miss his fourth game with an ankle injury. Jacksonville also declared cornerback Rashean Mathis (groin) as inactive, with Aaron Ross replacing him in the starting lineup.

The Colts offense will be without 40 percent of their offensive line as center Samson Satele and right tackle Winston Justice declared inactive. A.Q. Shipley starts for Satele, while Jeff Linkenbach moves from left guard to right tackle, with Joe Reitz stepping to start at left guard. The Colts had already ruled Coby Fleener, a 2012 second round pick, out for a second straight game with a shoulder injury. Fellow rookie Dwayne Allen, a third round pick out of Clemson, started in place of Fleener last week and had six receptions for 75 yards in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Miami Dolphins.

On defense, the Colts will be without outside linebacker Robert Mathis (back) and starting cornerbacks Vontae Davis (knee) and Jerraud Powers (foot). Journeymen Cassius Vaughn and Darius Butler will start in their place.
