Robert Griffin III's hype machine continues, unveils personal logo on Instagram

Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III decided to join the masses on Instagram, and his first picture was not a selfie in front of a bathroom mirror.

Instead, Griffin unveiled his new personal logo, which was created for him by adidas. It does not match Michael Jordan’s Jumpman logo, but it is not too bad.

Here is the message Griffin issued to his followers:

"This wouldn’t be possible without the love and support of my family, friends and fans growing up. This is for us and represents all of the work the people around me put in to help me succeed in life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart – Robert #teamadidas"

Griffin is trying to build a brand, but there is another way he could capitalize this year.

Play a lot better.

Last season, Griffin compiled 3,203 passing yards, 16 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He was ineffective as a runner, which could have been attributed to his knee surgery prior to the 2013 season. Regardless, the logo will not mean anything if Griffin is ineffective again this season.

Building a brand is one thing, but he will impress more people by winning more games in Washington.
