Ravens take early 7-0 lead on Flacco to Boldin

Anquan Boldin has been hot in the playoffs, and Joe Flacco found him on a great first drive by the Baltimore Ravens for the first touchdown of Super Bowl XLVII. The Ravens lead 7-0.

The 49ers were forced to punt on their first drive, then the Ravens drove downfield. The drive was extended when a 49ers offside penalty on 3rd and 9 gave the Ravens another chance. Flacco calmly found Boldin over the middle on a nice 13-yard catch in the end zone.

Boldin, who also played in a Super Bowl with the Arizona Cardinals, has come alive in the playoffs. The 32-year-old had 16 catches for 276 yards and three touchdowns in the Ravens’ first three playoff games. Flacco obviously trusts him, and looked for him on a huge third-down play that resulted in a score. Boldin got past the 49ers' safeties over the middle of the field and hauled in the throw.

Baltimore had the momentum through the playoffs, and were the hot team to start the Super Bowl against San Francisco.
