NFL Sunday actives/inactives: Jaguars’ Justin Blackmon expected to play against Chargers

Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Justin Blackmon missed the first four games of this season due to a league suspension and faced missing Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers because of a hamstring injury.

It appears Blackmon will be ready to go on Sunday.

NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport said he expects Blackmon to play against San Diego while on NFL GameDay First. Blackmon’s presence will help an offense that will also have receiver Cecil Shorts, who was listed as questionable because of a shoulder injury.

Blackmon has compiled 326 receiving yards and one touchdown after two games. He did not practice this past Wednesday, was limited this past Thursday, and held out of Friday’s practice as a precautionary measure.

"We feel better about Justin Blackmon," Bradley told ESPN.com. "He got quite a few reps yesterday and we wanted to make sure that he would be available on Sunday."

PATRIOTS: While tight end Rob Gronkowski will play against the New York Jets, cornerback Aqib Talib (hip) did not make the trip, according to BostonHerald.com. Talib has four interceptions and was enjoying a Pro Bowl worthy season until this recent setback.

LIONS: Receiver Calvin Johnson (knee) is active and will play against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. He had three receptions for 25 yards last Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. Meanwhile, running back Joique Bell will place despite having sore ribs.

EAGLES: Quarterback Michael Vick, who previously said he was not going to play because of a hamstring injury, is inactive.

COWBOYS: Defensive end DeMarcus Ware (thigh) was was eager to play against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, but is inactive. Ware had never missed a game in his career, playing in 134 consecutive games. In addition, running back DeMarco Murray (knee) is inactive.

FALCONS: In addition to Ware, receiver Roddy White (hamstring and ankle) will miss the first game of his career. He played in 133 consecutive games prior to Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

BILLS: Quarterback Matt Flynn, who was recently acquired, is inactive against the Miami Dolphins. Thad Lewis will start, while Jeff Tuel will be his backup.

BUCCANEERS: Guard Carl Nicks (foot) will not play against the Atlanta Falcons due to his MRSA infection. Meanwhile, defensive end Da'Quan Bowers (toe) is also inactive.

BEARS: Chicago received good news when cornerback Charles Tillman (knee) and tight end Martellus Bennett (knee) were declared active against the Washington Redskins.
