Mark Sanchez reportedly starting vs. Lions ... another Butt Fumble coming?

Mark Sanchez will always be honored as the author of the Butt Fumble, the first-line-obit play of dubious note from 2012 against the New England Patriots. And deservedly so.

But this Thanksgiving, he'll have the chance to add a new chapter to his legacy. Maybe. It's going to take something pretty special to knock his famous play with the New York Jets off the top shelf of his mantle.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Albert Breer, Sanchez will start for the Philadelphia Eagles against the Detroit Lions over Sam Bradford, who is still coming off a pair of injuries.

The Lions might have lost nine straight Thanksgiving Day home games, but they have won the past two seasons — and they're on a two-game win streak this season since their bye, with the defense (29 points allowed, fewer than five yards per play) setting the tone.

Could the Lions make Sanchez look bad again on this holiday? Could Sanchez make himself look bad? Both are entirely possible, and there are some people who would be absolutely thankful for this kind of entertainment.

Otherwise, in a matchup that looks like a pretty bland appetizer for the day's football, what else are we looking for? We definitely could use a second helping of that dish.
