Jonathan Stewart, Hakeem Nicks headline list of inactives for Giants-Panthers

The Carolina Panthers will be without running back Jonathan Stewart for Thursday night's game against the New York Giants.

Stewart missed the Panthers' regular season-opener with an ankle injury before rushing for 51 yards on 11 carries in Sunday's win over the New Orleans Saints. Stewart's ankle kept him from practicing throughout the week and he was listed as "questionable" on the team's final injury report of the week.

In addition to Stewart, the Panthers will be without linebacker Thomas Davis (hamstring) and right tackle Byron Bell (ankle), who were also listed as "questionable" for tonight's game. Garry Williams will replace Bell in the starting lineup. Other inactives for the Panthers include guard Mike Pollak, safety Colin Jones, defensive tackle Sione Fua and quarterback Jimmy Clausen.

For the Giants, wide receivers Hakeem Nicks and Domenik Hixon, running back Ahmad Bradshawn, right tackle David Diehl and defensive end Adewale Ojomo were already ruled out for tonight's game. Joining them on the inactive list are cornerback Michael Coe and tight end Adrien Robinson.

One lineup change of note for the Giants is that 2011 first round pick Prince Amukamara is listed as a starter.
