Denver Broncos win big in New Jersey, look like they want to make a return Super Bowl trip

At some point Sunday, every Denver Broncos player, coach and executive probably had some variation of the same thought go through their heads.

We'll be back in this stadium in a few months.

Given the way the Broncos won so convincingly at the Giants, Denver has every right to think that it will be back at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey in February for Super Bowl XLVIII.

The Broncos dismantled the Ravens in Week 1, and followed that up with a dominant 41-23 road win over the Giants in Week 2. That's the last two champions eviscerated by the Broncos. And Peyton Manning is now 3-0 against little brother Eli Manning in head-to-head matchups.

What makes the Broncos' start scary is they're doing it without suspended Von Miller, one of the two or three best defensive players in the NFL. He'll be back after six weeks.

The Broncos didn't look good in August, but that doesn't matter obviously. Over two weeks they have shown with little doubt they are the AFC's best team.

Unlike Week 1, the win over the Giants wasn't the Peyton Manning show. He was good, going 30-of-43 for 307 yards and two touchdowns, but nothing like the seven-touchdown performance he had against Baltimore. Manning didn't need to do it all.

Knowshon Moreno continues to become a factor at running back with 93 yards and two touchdowns, the Broncos defense did a fine job against a strong Giants passing game, forcing four Eli Manning interceptions, and the special teams added an 81-yard punt return touchdown by Trindon Holliday.

The Broncos are strong in every phase, and they're the only team with a player as good as Miller waiting in the wings. New England is struggling (although they'll get some injured players back) and no other AFC team looks nearly as strong as the Broncos, at least not yet.

It's pretty easy to picture the Broncos making a return trip to New Jersey in a few months.
