Colts' Andre Johnson roasts former Texans teammates in return to Houston

It has been a rough start to the season for new Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Andre Johnson, who had zero catches in Weeks 3 and 4. He looked old and washed up. Maybe the Houston Texans were right to move on this past offseason.

Umm ...

Call it motivation, playing against the only team Johnson knew for 12 seasons, or whatever you want — but he put his best foot forward early against the Texans on Thursday night. It's his first game at NRG Stadium as an opponent, and yet there was shockingly little buzz on this game despite it being a big talking point when Johnson signed with the Colts in the offseason.

In the first half, he caught three passes for 37 yards and a touchdown. This after a mere seven catches for 51 yards in the first four games.

Johnson first roasted former teammate Johnathan Joseph for a 23-yard gain and then, two plays later, got wide open for his first touchdown reception as a Colt.

He later converted a key fourth-and-1 with a 10-yard catch on a pretty play design. In his final 23 games with the Texans, Johnson scored only three receiving touchdowns.

After half, Johnson scored a second touchdown to cap a 14-play, 80-yard drive on 3rd and goal from the 2-yard line to make it a 27-17 Indy lead.

This game clearly means something to Johnson, who despite being maybe the best Texans player ever, speaks softly, doesn't say much and prefers to let his play do the talking. So far it has.
