Chris Johnson to play today after great-grandmother’s death

Tennessee running back Chris Johnson will play with a heavy heart Sunday after his 100-year-old great-grandmother died this morning.

Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean tweeted that Gurtha Pruitt, who Johnson called "Grandma Sweets," was actually his great-grandmother. Wyatt also wrote that Johnson got her a Titans jersey with "100" on the back.

All reports indicate Johnson will play at San Diego for a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff against the Chargers. It is sure to be an emotional game for the star running back.
