Cam Newton says he has no regrets about postgame media conference
Cam Newton doesn't care if you think he was moody and sullen after the Super Bowl. And if you were expecting him to apologize for his actions, think again.
Speaking for the first time since Sunday, Newton didn't apologize, didn't clarify, didn't backtrack on his brief, pouting media conference. Instead, he doubled down on his belief in himself. Here's a roundup of writeups from reporters at the Panthers' exit interviews at Bank of America Stadium:
Cam Newton making no apologies for postgame press conference. "Show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser."
— Joe Person (@josephperson) February 9, 2016
Cam Newton: "If I offended anyone, that's cool." But said he would not conform for anyone.

Cam: I don't have no more tears to cry
— Jonathan Jones (@jjones9) February 9, 2016
Cam: "I don't have to conform to what anybody wants. I am my own person."

Cam: I'm on record as being a sore loser. I hate losing. You show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser

Panthers quarterback Cam Newton defends decision not to jump on fumble. Teammate screaming "we love you cam" while he talks.
— David Newton (@DNewtonespn) February 9, 2016
Cam: We will be back. I mean that
— Jonathan Jones (@jjones9) February 9, 2016
Cam has never talked in exit interview. He clearly had something to say today. Talked for 7-8 minutes
— Jonathan Jones (@jjones9) February 9, 2016
Cam bristled big time about those questioning last fumble. Mentioned leg in bad spot + how hard he tries for tackle after INT vs other QBs.
— Black & Blue Review (@BlackBlueReview) February 9, 2016
"Pretty much everything people say about us is fluff," Newton said. "They say 'Cam's a thug,' they say players on team are classless ... straight up, we are professional athletes. Like I say, before you assume anything, what makes your way right?"
There will be much more debate about this in the coming weeks and seasons, but it's clear: Cam Newton is playing his game his way. It's up to everyone else to decide if they want to follow along.
