Bears-themed Airstream RV gets Craiglisted

Want to tailgate like a Halas? Then you're in luck. This 28-foot motor home, custom decorated inside and out with a Chicago Bears motif, is looking for some new monsters to take it to the midway. As you can see, it's an Airstream Argosy that's been painted orange and navy blue. Better yet: It features a keg tap (for "Da Beers") and a 42-inch TV, both accessible from the outside.

Look, if you don't buy this, we will. We could use a new Chicago bureau for the YSB anyway.

We don't know who'd be willing to part with such a beaut, but someone from suburban Chicago has listed it on Craigslist for $13,500. Sure, it also might cost that much to keep the motor home full of gas, but you'll own the Soldier Field parking lots come next fall.

The best details go unstated in the ad: It's a '76, which means it came out in '75 — just like Walter Payton. (It probably has the agility of William Perry, though.) It was listed for sale on Saturday, Jan. 26 — the 28th anniversary of Super Bowl XX, my friends.

The only concern might be of the image of Rex Grossman burned permanently into the TV.

Otherwise, it is as spectacular as Ditka's mustache. Other ride pimpers might attempt to incorporate another NFL team's colors into a custom RV, but it won't look as cool as the Bears does. Somebody tried it with the Packers, and it looks one of Lynn Dickey's old helmets. Mustard yellow goes on sandwiches — and the inside of the bread at that.

Here are some other details of "Da Bears Bus," which has reportedly undergone $18,000 in recent renovations since 2009, including a revamped water and heating system:

Built on Chevrolet Chassis and powered by 454 CI engine
- 2 bunk beds in mid section and couch lays flat for double bed
- 2 captain chairs in salon with stow away, dining table pulls out for a full size buffet table plus 2 captains chairs in cockpit that can turn around
- Full kitchen area with LP gas top burners and stove, double sink and 14 foot fridge freezer
- Rear bathroom with toilet, shower, sink
- Full 6KW built-in Onan Genset generator

Hurry and you can drive it to New Orleans in time for the Big Game. And all you'd need to enjoy it there would be a parking space outside of the Superdome.
