Adrian Peterson continues to impress less than a year after knee surgery

Some things need to be repeated as often as possible, because they never stop being amazing. And here's one example: Adrian Peterson blew out his knee less than a year ago.

The season Peterson is having is a medical miracle. He hasn't looked like his old self. He looks better.

He came into this week with 1,236 rushing yards, and nobody else in the NFL had more than 1,110. He was averaging an unbelievable 5.8 yards per carry. Peterson had more than 100 yards by halftime against Green Bay, thanks in large part to a classic Peterson run that showed his power, then his speed.

Peterson rushed right, and Packers safety Morgan Burnett had him wrapped up. Peterson ran right through that tackle. Then safety M.D. Jennings had a chance at Peterson. Or, at least Jennings thought he had a chance. Peterson ran over him him off with ease. With that, Peterson was in the open field, and if anyone had questions about his top-end speed after ACL surgery, he took off down the sideline for an 82-yard touchdown, a new career long.

And yes, it needs to be repeated again: Less than a year ago, Peterson suffered an ugly season-ending knee injury. It was last Dec. 24, to be exact. You'd never know it by watching him.
