Aaron Rodgers helps girl spread word about her pediatric cancer campaign

Had enough of the negative NFL stories for now? Well, here's a great story about Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Annie Bartosz that will leave a smile on your face and help restore your faith in, well, just about everything.

Annie Bartosz is a sixth-grader from Wisconsin who lost her twin brother Jack to cancer two years ago. She currently leads a campaign entitled "Gold In September," which encourages people to wear gold to raise awareness for pediatric cancer. She's attracted a lot of attention to the cause herself and even has a great website — goldinseptember.com — to get the word out.

All of that attention is set to multiply now, though, given that Rodgers is lending a hand to the effort. Rodgers and Jack Bartosz became friends before the boy died in 2012 and he says Jack left a big impact on him. As such, he wanted to help Annie and surprised her just before she went door to door to let neighbors know about Gold In September. The video is part of Rodgers' ongoing "It's Aaron" series, which leverages his fame to draw attention to important causes.

Here's Annie realizing that one of the most famous athletes in the country is helping with her makeup:

And here's one of Annie's neighbors not quite believing Rodgers is standing in front of him:

All in all, just a great story. And while Aaron and Annie might not have too hard of a time convincing Packers fans to wear gold in September, here's betting this might get a few Bears, Vikings and Lions fans in on the cause as well.
